Smart View 11.1.2.5.520 Released - Whats New

So another release of Smart View came out, so i decided to take a look through the documentation and see what changed.  It's a minor release with a few bug fixes and it looks like not much has changed for the average user.

The one major 'change' that a lot of people might overlook, is that Smart View is now supported on Office 2016 and Windows 10, great news for any companies looking to make that upgrade in the new year, although as with any upgrade/change i would make sure to do lots of testing.

Other changes to Smart View worth noting:
  • Member Name Display defaults to "Member Name Only" now for duplicate member database, instead of "Distinct Member Name" (you can still change this)
  • Cursor is now visible when typing in the Password field within Smart View (how many times did you stare at that prompt waiting for excel to 'unfreeze')
  • many other bug fixes, check out the documentation here-> Smart View 11.1.2.5.520 Readme

Question of the day: Should i upgrade? My answer is yes, its especially important for anyone using office 2016 or Windows 10, but there are numerous bug fixes, and in my books, that's always a good enough reason to upgrade. In my testing, i did not uncover any new bugs so see no reason to put it off.

Thank you all, and I'll see you in the new year
