If you have done much work in PBCS you might have noticed that once you launch into Simplified UI (SUI) there is not really a way to get back into standard UI without closing out the application and relaunching, and if you have the default set to SUI, it could be even more frustrating. Now the obvious solution is to set the default back to Standard UI, but if you are working in a situation such that you do not have that option, how can you get into the Standard UI.
After doing a lot of searching through the SUI, I could not find any option to move to Standard UI, until i went to explore the repository.
This will open the repository in the classic view, but unlike the other items that open in classic view, you have full access to Workspace from this window
You can use the navigate menu, or click on the home button, and you will be back at the standard classic landing page.
from here you can do anything you normally would in Classic.
I hope that this solves some of your woes in accessing Classic, and allows you to keep your application set to Simplified for your users.
good luck and enjoy!

I just tried it but I see a slightly different Navigate menu with no home button. Perhaps they cut off that functionality for sure now. So I'm forced to learn the new menus. :-)
ReplyDeleteI just logged in to check and it still looks like its working in my environment (Prod). Are you logged in as an Admin? what do you see in your menu?
DeleteThis is so helpful, thank you!
